The One and Only True God Is the Holy Trinity!

Getting Right to the Point!

The One and Only True God Is the Holy Trinity!

Was the Trinity “invented” by the early Christian Church? Was this perplexing doctrine added to the teachings of Jesus, but actually unknown to Him and His followers? This is what far too many so-called Christian theologians believe and teach to those who are studying to fill pulpits and classrooms in most major denominations today, and is claimed by a number of non-Christian cults. Yet, why would a new religion, already fighting for survival two thousand years ago, insist its converts believe that three equals one and one equals three, if this wasn't absolutely necessary for salvation?!

While it is true that the word “Trinity” is not found in the Bible, the teaching certainly is. The Old Testament prophet Isaiah records, “Behold, My Servant (the Son), Whom I (the Father) uphold; . . . I have put My Spirit (the Holy Spirit) upon Him.” (42:1). And Jesus (the Son) spoke of “. . . the Helper, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name” (John 14:26). And, of course, Jesus also commanded that people be baptized ". . . in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19)

So, if you want to be saved, you must believe in the one and only real God – the Triune God; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three Persons, yet one God. Is this hard to believe? Yes. Is this essential to believe? Absolutely! And that's the point!

Is this essential to believe? I don't think so...and I think there are a few others in my corner. And, of course, some say it doesn't matter what you think. Well, God put a head on our shoulders to do just that. In any event It seems to me that the writer is unneccessararily majoring in minors.

First of all, I don't think the Biblical teaching of the Holy Trinity is a "minor matter." Secondly, yes it is essential. If you don't believe in the Triune God, what "god" do you believe in?

I have heard that there are those in the church who believe that the teaching about the Trinity is a non-fundamental doctrine. I had thought such were a myth, however. Guess I was wrong.

So are you, friend!

If you don't believe in the Trinity, then you don't believe in the one true God.

I don't think that "God put a head on our shoulders" to exercise sinful human reason "magisterially" over the Word of God. Sinful human reason is the basis of heresy.
The Trinity is clearly taught in Scripture.
