Welcome to Intrepid Lutherans, Inc.

Dear Readers,

Greetings from the Editors of Intrepid Lutherans!

We hope you have found our posts over the past year and a half informative, encouraging, and interesting. We thank you for your many comments, questions, and suggestions.

You may be interested to know that we now have 92 signers, 21 of which are WELS Pastors. Of course, we would like to have many, many more! To that end we urge you to seriously consider becoming IL signers also.

Today we are publicly announcing an important development with our young organization. We are now incorporated as a religious, non-profit, tax-exempt corporation: Intrepid Lutherans, Inc. We also now have a corporate address in Sierra Vista, AZ, with a secure mailbox. Correspondence and contributions may be sent to: Intrepid Lutherans, Inc., 440 N. Highway 90 Suite B6 #106, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635. We have also set up a Pay Pal account for those who may wish to contribute using that method (see the "Donate" button in the sidebar).

The reason for taking these steps is simple: we want to expand our outreach within American Lutheranism and the Wisconsin Synod. We want to try and influence more Pastors and congregations with the wonderful, comforting, and thoroughly Scriptural teachings and practices of historic, orthodox, confessional Lutheranism as it was handed down to us by Dr. Luther and the Reformers.

In order to do this we believe we need to begin attending, organizing, hosting, and/or co-sponsoring confessional Lutheran Free Conferences in various parts of the country. We hope to host our first Free Conference in 2012. Stay tuned for more information.

We also hope to be a more visible presence at district and synod conferences and conventions in the future. We want to provide IL representatives and materials to these meetings to support and encourage confessional Lutheran doctrine and practice in the WELS.

We firmly believe that IL is filling an essential need in the WELS today, and that, under God's blessing, we are accomplishing good and positive things in our synod. With God's help – and yours! – we hope to do even more in the months and years to come!

Blessings and peace in Christ to you all!

The Editors of Intrepid Lutherans

Maybe you should sell your church property to engage in this mission... oh, wait, you aren't liberal LCMS and wouldn't do something like that. My bad =o)

Bold indeed. ACELC has deferred on being recognized as a legal entity.

Right, Eric. But if we were, then we could claim the rights to someone else's church property and sell it out from under them in the name of mission. That would be totally awesome.
